Why there are no ads
Sudoku is about concentration. An ad that appears between puzzles, or a video that plays before a hint, breaks exactly the focus that makes the game enjoyable. We decided early on that Quietdoku would not show ads, and that decision does not depend on whether you pay.
It also means there is no reason to track you. Quietdoku does not use advertising trackers, and you can play without creating an account.
What is free
On the web: four difficulty levels with 600 puzzles each, a daily puzzle at every level, killer sudoku, printable sheets with answers, and three hints per puzzle that explain the technique.
In the app for iPhone and Android: daily puzzles, streaks, achievements, worldwide rankings, challenges with friends and sync between phones. The app works offline.
How Quietdoku pays for itself
The app has an optional upgrade, Quietdoku Pro. It adds unlimited practice puzzles at every level, three hints per puzzle instead of one, optional mistake alerts and printable PDF sheets. Pro does not remove ads, because there are none to remove. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency.

Is Quietdoku really free with no ads?
Yes. There are no ads for anyone, whether or not you buy Pro. The website and the core app are free.
Do I have to watch a video to get a hint?
No. Every puzzle includes hints without any video or ad. On the web you get three per puzzle.
Does Quietdoku work offline?
The app works fully offline, which also means no ads can load. The website needs a connection to load, then keeps your progress in the browser.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play on the web and in the app without signing up. Signing in with Apple or Google in the app is optional and only used to keep your progress.
